The last time I wrote, I said I’d fill you in about the on-goings of my studio episodes, turns out I never did. Never has there been such a forgetful person as me. I was so drowned in the fun and excitement of writing my new tracks, which came to me like little epiphanies that it completely slipped my mind to write about writing songs! Hehehehe
I’m not enjoying the sweltering, dreadful heat. It’s disgusting and it screws your hair up. Thank God I’m not singing live any time before September.
Which reminds me…I’m playing my first live gig on Friday 7th September at Verdala. It’s going to be like a well-needed release. I’ve been holding a lot in for quite some time now, so I can’t wait to perform. “What I’d Give” is doing seriously well. It’s been getting some great response. The video has just been released and it cracks me up. It was the funniest thing ever to shoot. I loved playing different characters and working with the wonderful “Take 2” Crew. So many people were involved in this project and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. That’s the beauty of music and projects, you get to work with different people, you get to see how other people perceive the world, you and your music.
Last weekend I also had the opportunity to meet the incredible Christina Novelli, such a young talented woman!!! You can tell that she is first and foremost and artist, writer and then the face we see singing the extremely popular “Concrete Angel.” Her voice is amazing and she is so down to earth and charismatic.
Next week I’m back in the studio. The last few tracks need to be worked on. Can’t Wait!!!! Roll on December!!!!
